Would You Like Some Candy Floss?
Original abstract artwork
Size – 50.5 x 40.5cm
Acrylic and oil stick, on canvas
This piece forms part of my Droplets collection. My inspiration for this body of work came from the ever-changing nature of the British weather – one moment we experience the intensity of a rainstorm, and the next the tension is broken by bright sun-beams bursting through the clouds. Colourful light patterns are refracted across the sky, whilst rain drops fall off petals and splash onto our skin. The sounds, smells, visual drama, and romance of the weather have always enthralled me.
