Sand In The Air: I
Framed size – 23 x 23cm
[canvas depth - 1.5cm]
Original abstract artwork
Acrylic and oil stick, on canvas
Sold in a contemporary float frame
This piece belongs to my Dunes collection. I’ve always found the beach to be a fascinating place - a singular 'body' made up of countless tiny particles, none of which are ever really still. Some of my favourite places on Earth are along the British coast - the Jurassic cliff formations of Dorset, the undulating dunes at Camber, and secluded coves in Dartmouth. On the beach I often find myself pondering the movement of the grains of sand, and the endless beautiful patterns this creates. I felt very peaceful whilst creating this collection, and hope you will have the same experience when looking at it.
This miniature is one of a series of four. They look great displayed as a group - see image below. Please note, each of these miniatures is a distinct piece, and they are sold separately.
